What this site is
DentistProof indexes dentists and dental clinics listed in the NPPES public registry (published by CMS) and organizes them by city, state, and NPPES specialty. We also publish regional cost benchmarks: national averages from published consumer dental cost guides, adjusted per metro using BEA Regional Price Parities. Every profile links directly to the state dental board for authoritative license status checks. Read the methodology for full details.

Data Sources
NPPES (National Plan and Provider Enumeration System)
Published by CMS. Contains every provider with an NPI: name, credentials, taxonomy, practice address, enumeration date. Updated monthly.

BEA Regional Price Parities
Published annually by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Our metro-level cost multiplier is the RPP value ÷ 100. National procedure medians come from published consumer dental cost guides (ADA, MouthHealthy).

Each state board maintains license status and public disciplinary actions. We link to the correct board rather than republish their records, so you always see the most current, authoritative version.
